I'm sorry, but I fail to see how Tom Cruise knows much about psychiatry, let alone the history of it, as he claimed on the Today Show, when he sparred with Matt Lauer today; he barely finished high school! Having studied and practiced Scientology does not make a Scientist! He was speaking about his recent criticism of Brooke Shields for taking anti-depressants after suffering from post partum depression.

Cruise went on to say he knows about chemical imbalances when speaking against Ritalin for ADD, because, " ... you have to evaluate and read the research papers on how they came up with these theories, Matt, OK. That's what I've done."

Come on! Speaking of chemical imbalances ... you're 42 years old, "engaged" to a 26 year old just days after her 2 year engagement ended. Yeah, someone has a theory of imbalance alright, keep researching, Tom!
