I Dream of Jeannie Rumors Resurface

Rumors of a remake of the 1960s sitcom, I Dream of Jeanie, has been circulating for over a year, and have kicked up again. The movie has a director (Gurinder Chadha) and even a leading man (Jimmy Fallon), but still no female celebrity to play the role of Jeannie.

In the original show, Larry Hagman played astronaut Major Anthony Nelson who discovers a mysterious bottle containing a beautiful female genie (Barbara Eden) when his spacecraft makes an emergency landing on a desert island. Eager to have him as her new master, she stows herself away and is taken back to Florida, where she causes Nelson all sorts of trouble in various comic dilemmas.

The only question that remains, is which beautiful female celebrity will play the role of the dreamy Jeannie. Will it be new mom Kate Hudson, teenage drama queen Lindsay Lohan, or the sexy secret agent and expecting mother Jennifer Garner?

Teenage Drama Queen Lindsay Lohan may be putting her music and movie career on hold to attend college.

The teen actress and singer indicated that she would love to follow in the footsteps of the famous beauty twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and enroll at New York University (NYU).

Native New Yorker Lohan is already making plans to combine getting a higher education with her Hollywood jet set lifestyle. Part of her reason for choosing NYU is because her hometown offers excellent flight links around the globe.

Lohna told the New York Daily News, "I would go to NYU. I'm a New York girl, and it's easy to get to London and LA from here."
