Lindsay Lohan Admits Drug Use
After vehemently denying that she was having health problems due to excessive dieting, Lindsay Lohan admits that she was battling bullimia.
Lohan also passionately denied that she used drugs, and now admits that she was "dabbling in drugs."
These two issues, among others, pushed the teen idol close to an emotional and physical collapse.
"I knew I had a problem and I couldn't admit it," Lohan, the star of movies such as "Mean Girls" and "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen," told Vanity Fair magazine.
"I was making myself sick. I was sick and I had people sit me down and say 'You're going to die if you don't take care of yourself,"' she said in the magazine's latest issue, which hit newsstands on Wednesday.
Lohan said she used drugs "a little" but quickly tried to retract the admission and denied that she had taken cocaine. "I don't want people to think that I've done ... you know what I mean? It's kind of a sore subject," she said.
Lohan's publicist called Vanity Fair the day after the interview to try to get the confession omitted from the article, the New York Post reported.
Lohan was admitted to hospital on Monday after experiencing breathing difficulties in her hotel room in Miami, spokeswoman Leslie Sloane told Reuters.
Sloane said the actress, who has suffered from asthma since childhood, was "resting comfortably" while she remained under observation and expects to be discharged on Wednesday.
Lohan has been asthmatic since she was a child, but has not suffered a major attack in years, Sloane said. Lohan pinned her breathing difficulties and asthma attack to the high humidity at a private club on New Year’s Eve.
High humidity and even thunderstorms can trigger asthma attacks, according to the CDC. About 20.3 million Americans have asthma and 12 million have had an asthma attack in the previous year, the CDC said.
The Vanity Fair article also contains some racy picture of Lindsay. Some websites in order to simply grab the headline are reporting that she is nude.
However racy the photos, it would appear that the professionals at Vanity Fair do not own dictionaries and are confused about the definition of nudity. Lindsay Lohan nude? No, but still eye-catching.

The only problem with that mentality is that she is looked up to be so many young people around the world. If you want to take on the role of a perfect little role model, cash in on all of the popularity, etc. ... I think you need to be held to a little bit of a higher standard.

This sets a terrible standard for young people, It's reaffirming the idea that drug binges are ok, and that, like a piss up on the weekend, 6 months of hardcore coke use isn't all that bad for you. it's a shame this kind of thing gets publicized with pop terms like "scandal" because it just gives this problem more momentum, however - it is their lives. live and let live. and money still needs to be made.

She is looked up not only by her copatriots, but also youths all over the world. She is in the limelight and be good enough to maintain that stature by any means without giving herself away to drug addiction. She can take it an earnest request of one of her die-hard fans.

Look, I am going to break this down for you. Just because somebody works in the entertainment industry does not mean thath they are not entitled to "guzzle" all the cum they want, or to snort all the charlie they want. This person makes her entire career on pretending to be people who she is not! She is an actor! Isn't it ironic that so many people shoul "look up to" her, then?

I'm not some low-life fan, although I thought she performed great in mean girls. And I'm not some celeberity defender, becuase honestly, I rarely care.
The only reason I care is becuase I have a little sister, and I know I'm not the only one who does. People, including my sister, looked up to her, and then she became a slutty, drugged-up, bulimic bitch with more silicone injections than Adultcon. I dont care the least bit about her, she did it to herself and she deserves the reprocutions, but I care about everyone who ever saw her as a role model, as anything more than I see her as right now.
The worst part about it is that she knows she is a role model, and yet she still does it. Yes everyone knows how Lindsay Lohan is. She keeps on and on saying yes I know I have done terrible things and am on the right path. The only reason she keeps saying this is to keep trying to hide her addiction. And trying to make everyone believe she's getting help and trying to change. I seen in a magazine recently that Lindsay Lohan was caught at a party doing all kinds of drugs. In my opinion she wants to keep doing these things and wants her fans to keep admiring her because she wants them to believe she's getting better. Bull shit! If she wants to keep doing these things so be it. I don't think anyone should help her. It's her own stupidity. Who gives a damn?
